This Privacy Policy explains how NXTCareer (“NXTCareer”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website and tools — including the resume builder, ATS score checker, cover-letter and LinkedIn-bio generators, salary insights, job listings and application tracker (together, the “Services”).
We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable rules. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
The Services are operated by NXTCareer Technologies Pvt. Ltd., with its registered office at NXTCareer Technologies Pvt. Ltd., 4th Floor, Whitefield, Bengaluru – 560066, Karnataka, India. For data-protection purposes we act as the Data Fiduciary (controller) of the personal data you provide. You can reach us at privacy@nxtcareer.in.
2. Information we collect
a) Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only in hashed form).
- Resume & career content: everything you enter — contact details, work history, education, skills, projects, certifications, and job descriptions.
- Payment information: when you buy a paid plan, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or banking details.
- Communications: messages, support requests and feedback you send us.
b) Information we collect automatically
- Usage & device data: pages viewed, features used, approximate location (from IP), browser and device type, and log data.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
c) Information from third parties
If you sign in with Google, we receive the information you authorise that provider to share.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Services you request.
- To generate your resume, cover letters, bios, ATS scores and other outputs from the content you supply.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To improve, secure and troubleshoot the Services, and to develop new features.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and — only with your consent — marketing. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use the content of your resume to train any AI model.
4. AI processing
Some features (such as the AI cover-letter and LinkedIn-bio tools) send the text you choose to a trusted third-party AI provider (Google Gemini / Anthropic) to generate a result, and only when you actively click to use that feature. We send the minimum text needed and instruct providers not to use your data to train their models.
5. Legal basis & consent
Under the DPDP Act we process your personal data primarily on the basis of your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
6. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. Essential cookies are required; analytics cookies are optional. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
7. Sharing & service providers
We share personal data only as needed to run the Services, with providers bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations:

8. Payments
Paid plans are billed through Razorpay. Your card and banking details are collected and processed directly by Razorpay under PCI-DSS standards; we do not see or store them. We retain records of your purchases as required for accounting and tax.
9. Data retention
We keep your personal data only as long as needed. Account and resume data is kept while your account is active; if you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within 30–90 days, except where we must retain records to meet legal obligations.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed passwords to protect your data. If a personal-data breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
11. International data transfers
Some providers may process data outside India. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we do so in line with applicable law. By using the Services you acknowledge such transfers may occur.
12. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct, complete or update inaccurate data.
- Erase your data and delete your account.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (Section 14).

13. Children & minors
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
